As a small business owner, you may not have the type of business and marketing budgets which the same as your competitors. Obviously you need a promotional strategy that can turn potential weaknesses into strengths by using your resources to attract and retain customers. Here are some instructions to do:

Developing customer relationships
As a small company, you are in an excellent position to develop relationships with customers and provide customers with excellent service. Many customers prefer the personal attention they receive from small business, the impersonal treatment compared with larger companies. Let your customers know that you appreciate them and you will take extra steps to meet their needs. Remember their names and their preferences.

Building a community
As a small business owner, you have the opportunity to be a part of the community you serve. Participate in activities such as fundraising and gathering.

Network with other entrepreneurs
Recognize other people's business, and build a mutually beneficial relationship. For example, if you are a plumber, known general contractors in the area who will using you as a subcontract certain work

Customer discounts
Adjust arrangement with the prize promotion or discount to customers who using your products and services repeatedly.
